Science Bowl


This is an introductory course to science bowl, a fast-paced jeopardy style buzzer competition. We will cover many different areas of science, such as Earth Science, Life Science, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. This class is for students who are beginning or interested in science fields. We will have fun while learning about all the different areas of science in the process. Come Join Us!

This class is full, but there are openings for the U.S. History class taught by the same teacher on the same dates, which you can sign up for here.

Teacher

Oliver Ye

Oliver is an 8th grade student at Lawson Middle School. He founded the Lawson science bowl club, and has been the president of science bowl club for two years. Oliver was a state qualifier for Math League, and he has received an Honor Award in AMC 8 three times.

Teaching Assistant

Tim Jing

Tim is a 7th grade student at Miller Middle School. He was Oliver's teaching assisant last semester. Tim is on the Miller Science Olympiad Team, placing second and fourth in the Science Olympiad California state competition. He has also been on the AMC 8 Honor Roll for two years. Tim is excited to work with his students!
