US History (Middle School)


This class investigates the changing social, political, and economic atmosphere in America from the mid 1700s until today. In this class, you will read documents from the past and discuss their impact on American history then and now.

Dates: Sundays 9/10, 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12

Time: 4:15pm–5:45pm

Hi, I’m Alvin Tian, 9th grader at Monta Vista High School, returning to Silicon Valley Youth as a teacher for US History. I have 2 sessions of previous teaching experience co-teaching US History; thus, I feel capable to inspire your kids. In my free time in enjoy reading, going for runs, and playing baseball with my friends. I hope I get the opportunity to teach you or your kid in the upcoming session.

My name is Sean Yang, and I am a 9th grader at Monta Vista High School. Previously, at SVY, I was a student in two classes as well as a TA for World History. In my free time, I sing, play guitar, and play baseball. I look forward to being the TA for Alvin's US History course!
