Public Speaking & Current Events
Public speaking is a skill that people need to be successful in your career and social life. Students will study the details of social interactions and the psychology of public speaking. Students will also read current events and learn how to analyze the text quickly. Afterward, the students will give presentations every class and receive positive feedback from not only their teachers, but their classmates as well. By the end of the semester, students should be able to speak confidently, to adapt to high-pressure situations, to improve their critical reading skills, and to be well informed of current events.

Hi I am Tony Jiang, a 10th grade student at Saratoga High School. I have had a few years of experience with public speaking and have read a few books on public speaking and social psychology. I am passionate about teaching students how to have success in life and helping you learn many skills that will benefit you later on in life. I always look for opportunities to further my knowledge of public speaking and social interactions. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis and learning new songs on the piano. I have also TA’d for the SVY java class.
