Intro to Java


This course aims to teach students the fundamentals of Java and Object-Oriented Programming. There will be many hands-on activities including a project that use all the concepts covered. No prior experience is needed as the course starts from the basics.

Dates: Sundays 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29

Time: 1:15pm–2:45pm

My name is Steven, and I am a sophomore at Monta Vista High School. I have experience in a variety of programming languages like Java, C++, and HTML; however, I mainly like to use Java. I participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition at school and play the bassoon. I am also currently teaching underprivileged students and I have adequate teaching experience.

Tony Liao is a eighth grader at Jordan middle school in Palo Alto. He has experience with Java through different camps and his current middle school electives class as well as playing a important character in a competitive team. Use the experience of studying literature, He has gained much knowledge regarding the human condition, and he tries to use what he has learned to improve his moral rectitude, thereby becoming a man of principles.
