Business & Entrepreneurship


Have you ever wanted to own your own business? Or startup a family bakery, tech company, or a tutoring service? Make an idea come to life? If you answer is yes to any of these questions, this course is right for you.

Students will be taught on the process of starting up their own business. During this course, students will be separated into multiple groups. With their groups, they will be able to start up their business, create a business plan and have the chance to pitch. Students will be educated on how to execute a startup. Students will also be led on the process of leading a successful company and where to go beyond that. Finally, this course also introduces students to several main subfields of business.

Good for 7th grade and above.

Dates: Saturdays 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18

Brandon Fu

Brandon Fu is a junior at Homestead High School. In his free time, he enjoys playing a variety of sports including tennis, basketball, water polo, and table tennis. This past summer, he attended MIT Launch, where he learned countless skills on business and entrepreneurship. Brandon also teaches Java and Scratch to special needs students, earning him the title of Volunteer of the Year at Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN). Brandon’s deep subject knowledge and familiarity with teaching allows him to teach and work well with students.
