Introduction to Java

This course in Java programming covers Java basics and object-oriented programming concepts. The class will wrap up with a fun game project, for which students will create the code.

Arthur Ji

Arthur Ji is a freshman at Monta Vista High School. He has two years of experience with Java. He was the teaching assistant for Andrew Zhou's Java class last semester, and he has also taught scratch programming to young children. Arthur has been recognized by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) for his distinction in piano. He is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society and volunteers to help the wellbeing of Cupertino. Arthur hopes to share his experience and knowledge of Java with other students and inspire them to like Java as well.

Paul Zhao

Paul Zhao is currently a freshman at Gunn High School in Palo Alto. Paul has experience with coding through different camps and his current high school electives as well as competing on a robotics team. He is multilingual with three languages, plays piano and swims competitively in and outside of school. Paul has done competitive math and AMC 8 in middle school. With some remaining free time, Paul enjoys playing basketball with friends and binge-watching shows on Netflix.
